SME study M&A 2023 – survey only open for a short time

Entrepreneurs only have a few days left to take part in the major SME study M&A 2023.

The year 2022 and the beginning of 2023 have presented many companies with key challenges and profoundly changed corporate target systems. Global flows of goods have been disrupted, energy costs have risen enormously and inflation is making strategic planning more difficult.

It is no wonder that many entrepreneurs are increasingly talking about resilience, which has a massive impact on “growth strategies” and their planning. SMEs are a key driver of the M&A market in Germany and the current environment is causing companies of all sizes to think about transformation strategies.

But how is M&A used by SMEs in this environment? This year, as part of the SME initiative led by Jan Pörschmann, the BM&A, together with M&A REVIEW and the University of Bristol, has once again set up a survey on the use of M&A in SMEs, the results of which will be presented in a study. This is a continuation of the study from 2022.

The survey is aimed at German SMEs with over 30,000 companies with a turnover of between EUR 10 and 250 million.

The questionnaire can be found here.

The results of the study will be presented at the business event Shift & Change 2023 – Der BM&A Mittelstandstag on May 23 in Baierbrunn near Munich on the premises of Wort und Bild Verlag. Entrepreneurs are cordially invited to attend.
